Surplus Stock Management
Score TransCanada offer a unique service to clients holding surplus stock. Surplus stock is often a common problem following the completion of major projects; items procured in error or in excess of requirements are commonly not visible within the clients business due to costs and inventory being written off against the project. Surplus stock represents a significant opportunity for clients to reduce day to day operational costs by utilising inventory already purchased. In addition to reuse by the asset owner, inventory is catalogued within the Score business system, maximising opportunities to liquidate the stock by sale through the Score Group network.
The service extends to working with the clients Turnaround Planning Teams ahead of major Outages or Shutdowns, the focus is identifying what areas of plant will be part of the project, we then identify the Valve stock for replacement and cross reference this with the surplus inventory managed by Score TransCanada, these Valves are then allocated to the Turnaround Group before demand is raised for purchase of new equipment.
Score TransCanada currently holds Surplus Stock for a number of major Oil & Gas companies operating in the Albertan Oil Sands.
Procurement service
Score TransCanada are independent of all OEM’s ensuring impartiality when procuring Valves for its clients.
