Our experienced Engineering Team consisting of Valve Design Engineers, Valve Engineering Technicians and Metallurgists have an extensive depth of specialised valve knowledge required to fully support the engineering and technical services necessary to satisfy the extensive petrochemical industry client base. A fully qualified pool of multi-skilled and experienced Valve Technician Engineers can be mobilised to carry out worldwide in-situ service/repair work at any time.
Who We Want (Entry Qualifications)
What You’ll Do (Graduate Scheme)
As a valued member of our experienced Engineering team, you will pursue a four year IMechE accredited MPDS dedicated training plan which will include experience in practical, commercial and engineering departments to prepare you for the application for professional Chartered Engineer (CEng ) / Incorporated Engineer (I Eng) status qualification. Working with an international company will bring the opportunities to travel nationwide and overseas.
The candidate will gain experience in the following areas.
Main Tasks
Valve component re-design including the utilisation of FEA
Valve design calculations in accordance with industry standards
Valve design reviews including liaising with clients
Valve failure analysis including improvement recommendations
Control valve sizing calculations
Control valve trim design including the utilisation of CFD
Valve strip down and inspections
Valve assembly and pressure testing
Main Tasks

The candidate will gain experience in the design and manufacture of Data Acquisition and Instrumentation Systems for the Oil and Gas Industry as well as performing in-house research and development in the field of valve and actuator condition monitoring and diagnostics.

Participation in study and concept development work
Cost estimating and planning of projects
Preparation of design, drawings and documentation for customer and Score projects
Preparation of requisitions and specifications for procurement of instruments and associated apparatus
Participation in system assembly, construction and commissioning activities
Gain experience in hazardous area requirements for petrochemical environments
Gain experience of programming methods
Gain experience of diagnostic methods
Progress to obtaining Chartered Engineer status
