Valve performance can be be pin-pointed as a major component in polluting the atmosphere, from results of testing with power plants. However, at Score Group, valve functions are performed to a prescribed minimum performance in conditions which are more extreme than the actual anticipated, or worst possible case service conditions. Total confidence in valves can only be fully achieved by investing both time and money into extensive product testing which truly reflects the operating conditions that the valve is likely to be exposed to during it’s installed life cycle.

Examples of special testing specification performed at the Cowdenbeath premises include Bend Testing, Low Temperature and Cryogenic Testing, Hydrostatic Testing, Elevated Temperature Testing, Fire / Flame Testing and High Pressure Gas Testing.
